Nice - Mont Boron
This luxury residence of incomparable charm majestically dominates the Baie des Anges from the tip of Cap de Nice, one of the most beautiful places on the French Riviera. The Nobel Prize winner Maurice Maeterlinck designed it as a private mansion and gave it the name Villa Orlamonde. After 1945, the Villa became one of the most famous social centers on the Riviera, and Maeterlinck organized many parties there, attended by personalities such as Charlie Chaplin and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
In 2012, the prestigious neo-classical Florentine-inspired hotel was bought by Czech billionaire Radovan Vitek. The Côte d’Azur architect Jean-Paul Gomis was able to restore the Palace to its former glory by transforming it into a complex of 18 luxury apartments.
Unique in Europe, each apartment is open to the sea and has its own private beach. Built on a four-hectare estate, the building also features two Louis XV-inspired basins lined with Ionic columns, solid onyx bathtubs, coffered ceilings, frescoes, and a 200m² hall. Sober lines and colors on the facade, maximum openness to the sea, light and space omnipresent in the passageways, patios and apartments… the Palais Maeterlinck offers a feeling of zenitude and timeless luxury.
