A Castle in the Azur
Nice - Gairaut
On the hill of Gairaut, hides a surprising and majestic Renaissance castle, replica of the Castle of Azay-Le-Rideau, completed in 1932 by the architect Adrien Rey on order of the wealthy Industrial Virgil Neal. Overlooking the city of Nice and its hills with a breathtaking sea view, the Château d’Azur rises in the heart of a beautiful private park of 5 hectares, within a secure domain hosting a set of eponymous villas. The three floors of the castle and its 4 corner towers are home to 9 co-owners. The luxurious common areas reflect the follies of the beautiful era, including the vestibule of the ground floor and fireplace Louis XIII, paneling, painted ceilings, and the spectacular central staircase with stained glass medieval hunting scene. The park, built to the taste of the time with its fake ruins, ponds, sculptures and ornaments, invites residents to serenity contemplative. From here, the view of the city of Nice and the Baie des Anges is enchanting.
