Villa Poulido
Just a few steps from the Monegasque border, located in the commune of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Villa Poulido is a former private mansion of remarkable architectural quality. Proudly standing in the heart of a private Mediterranean-style park, this splendid Belle Époque residence overlooks the seafront and the Principality.
“La Poulido” (meaning “the beautiful” in the Occitan language) was built in 1890, designed by architect Henri Schmit (1854–1904), known for the modifications he made to Charles Garnier’s masterpieces — the Monte Carlo Opera House and Casino.
Overlooking the Basse Corniche, Villa Poulido enjoys a preserved environment and is surrounded by other beautiful neighboring villas, such as Villa Varavilla — also built by the same architect — and La Vigie.
Originally, the property included a 40,000 m² park planted with rare species of trees. It was even awarded a Gold Medal in 1905 for being one of the most beautiful gardens on the French Riviera.
In the 1950s, the villa was sold to a property developer who subdivided the park. The building was raised by one additional floor before being divided into apartments.
Ideally located at the gates of Monaco, Villa Poulido allows you to reach the beach of the Monte Carlo Beach Hotel in just a few minutes. Access is direct via the Moyenne Corniche, 30 km from Nice International Airport and only 2.9 km from the Monaco heliport.
Riviera Boulevard, expert in luxury real estate in the areas surrounding Monaco, offers several exceptional properties for sale in this prestigious residence. Rare in the market, these properties are truly remarkable — featuring recent renovations with top-quality materials (marble, herringbone oak parquet, silk wall fabrics) and outstanding architectural details (high ceilings, painted frescoes, moldings, rosettes, coffered ceilings, and more).
